Garden City Beach dining gives you so many options from breakfast restaurants to local seafood restaurants, homemade ice cream shops, produce stands and a smoothie food truck.
Eggs Up Grill is one of my favorite breakfast spots and Garden City Beach has a location on Business 17. You can also grab lunch there. Garden City Pancake House is another favorite for vacationers and locals. They serve breakfast all day and lunch. Grab some pancakes at Flapjack’s Pancake Cabin. They are open until 1:00 pm each day and serve breakfast and brunch. Grab a made from scratch biscuit for breakfast or lunch at Millstone Biscuit Co. You can grab a quick coffee and donut at either Dunkin’ Donuts or Krispy Kreme.
While at the beach, you can walk up to the world-famous Sam’s Corner at the corner of S. Waccamaw and Atlantic Avenue to grab a hot dog or hamburger and a drink.
After a long day at the beach, you can eat dinner (or lunch) at one of the local seafood restaurants, Sara J’s, Gulfstream Cafe, The Quay Seafood Grille or Conch Cafe. Sara J’s, Gulfstream and The Quay Seafood Grille offer beautiful views of the marsh while Conch Cafe is ocean front. Enjoy fabulous sunsets over the marsh at Gulfstream Cafe while dining on local seafood. Sara J’s is a family owned seafood restaurant and serves local seafood. The Quay Seafood Grille is open for lunch and dinner serving seafood, burgers and steaks. They are located on the inlet in Garden City Beach and can be reached by boat (they have slips available for customers) or car. The views are amazing!!! The Conch Cafe also serves steaks and seafood that you can enjoy on their deck overlooking the ocean. Drinks can be found at any local restaurant, the Garden City Beach Bar and Grill, Causeway Grill and Raw Bar or the Garden City Pier.
Texas Roadhouse, Greg’s Cabana Bar and Grill and Old Chicago Pizza and Taproom give you non-seafood options without having to leave Garden City Beach. You could also pick up some food to cook at home at J & J Butcher Shop.
Stop by Drippy’s Homemade Ice Cream at one of their two locations (one on Atlantic Avenue and one on Business 17) for dessert. Their ice cream is delicious and is a favorite of my son! You can also get ice cream at Stella’s Homemade Ice Cream on Business 17.
The Smooth Seas Food Truck (and now a retail location) gives you an option for quick, healthy food. They sell smoothies and acai bowls. Make sure you check the Facebook or Instagram page for the weekly schedule because the truck moves between Garden City Beach and Murrells Inlet.
Getting some fresh produce at a local produce stand is one of my favorite things to do, especially in the summer. Garden City Beach has two spots to grab produce…Kings’ Produce on Business 17 and Angela’s Produce on Atlantic Avenue. Angela’s also sells fresh shrimp and boiled peanuts.
When it comes to Garden City Beach dining, you have many options. Give them a try and see you around town!
