Murrells Inlet LOVES Halloween!!! How can you celebrate Halloween in Murrells Inlet in 2024? The town has so many events, and there is usually at least one Halloween or Fall event happening each weekend in October, but Halloween night is the big event!!
Halloween festivities begin at the Marshwalk at 5:00 pm with kids’ trick-or-treating and costume contest at 6:00 pm.
Kids’ Events
Everyone has fun at the kids’ trick-or-treating!! Adults line both sides of the Marshwalk passing out candy to the kids. Lots of laughs and SO MUCH CANDY!!!
Any kids wanting to participate in the kids’ costume contest need to be at the Pirate Statue in front of Drunken Jack’s at 6:00 pm. For kids 3 and up, prizes will be given for the Most Creative, Best Group and Funniest. For kids 2 and under, the Awes Applause award will be given.
Adult Events
At 7:00 pm, the adults’ costume contest begins. If you want to participate in the adults’ costume contest, you need to register at Neptune Bistro and Raw Bar between 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm. Awards will be given for Best Duo, Best Group, Best Individual, Most Creative, Big & Bulky, Murrells Inlet Themed and Honorable Mention. The restaurants along the Marshwalk will have food and drink specials. It’s a great night to get dressed up and enjoy Halloween with your friends and family!
