Why are property tax reassessment notices being mailed to property owners in Horry and Georgetown Counties?

South Carolina law states that property values of real property in South Carolina must be reassessed every 5 years.

You will receive a reassessment notice if your property value increased by $1,000 or more since the last reassessment.
