Now that you are officially under contract, you will want to schedule your movers and plan your move soon. A common question I hear is “when do I get the key to the house”.
In the Myrtle Beach area, it is common not to exchange keys at the closing table. In fact, you will not see the sellers the day of closing!
I can give you the keys to your new home once your Deed is recorded. Typically, if you close in the morning (10:00 or earlier), you will get your keys after 3:00 on the same day. If you close in the afternoon, you will likely not get your keys until after 3:00 the next day. Keep this information in mind when scheduling your movers and planning closing.
I will be happy to meet you at your new home if you are in town for closing. If you handled closing by mail, I can mail the keys to you or hold them for you until you get in town. With condotels, the front desk will have they key or key card for you when you are ready to access the property.
