HOA fees are very common in Murrells Inlet. In fact, most neighborhoods have some level of a homeowners’ association.

What HOAs include varies from neighborhood to neighborhood. If there are amenities in the neighborhood, they are covered by the HOA fees. Things like pools, fitness centers and clubhouses, walking trails, tennis courts, basketball courts and pickleball courts are covered by the HOA fees. If the neighborhood has a sign at the entrance, the HOA fees covered the sign and entrance maintenance. Besides those things, some HOA fees covered water, cable/internet, trash pickup or lawn maintenance.

How much is an HOA fee? That amount varies by neighborhood too. Amounts could be as low as $25 per month up to several hundred dollars per month. Generally speaking, an HOA with a lower amount has less amenities while an HOA with a higher amount has more amenities. HOA fees can be paid monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or even annually.
